Benchmarks of Skills Covered in Nursery, Pre-K and Kindergarten (Digital File)

With this evaluation packet, the teacher can assess the benchmarks a child typically masters by the end of Nursery, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten. These checklists help a teacher keep track of each child's progress and guide in planning for future instruction.

Instructions

Use the picture next to the table as a guide for which manipulatives you will be used to evaluate each skill. Ask the child to perform each activity listed. Rate the child's level of attainment: With difficulty, Self corrects, or With ease. Then, write the date in the column corresponding to how the child performed that activity. The next time an evaluation is performed, use the same pages for that child to see patterns and progress.

Underneath each table is a breakdown of the individual skills a child needs to perform the activities using that material.
